Medal of Honor

Today Staff Sergeant Salvatore A. Giunta received the Medal of Honor, presented by President Obama.

It is the first time this highest military honor, awarded for performance under fire, has been awarded since the United States began the war in Afghanistan in 2001. I am not a fan of either the current war in Afghanistan nor the war in Irak at any point, but the bravery of our troops has been beyond the pale
