Beinn Udlamain
After yesterdays washout we woke up to nearly clear skies. We decided to head down to Drumochter and head into a couple of hills there. By the time we'd headed east the weather had crapped out again. We headed up the long walk in to Beinn Udlamain and the up onto a white out on the summit plateau. Headed off to the summit and decided to call it a day. As is often the way with these places, the weather opened up on our descent and we managed some views. Again the summit view would have been spectacular. Here's some of my mates from the Ochils Mountaineering Club heading back down the hill.
I'l leave the second of that pair for midsummer. I reckon I could get up there after the kids are in bed. get to the top before the light fades then bivvy up there get the sunrise at the back of one, have a kip and drive back down the road.....that's the plan anyway!!
