Rememberance Sunday
Today I read lotsof poems and dedications to remember and honour those that had served for our country. A lot of poignant and emotional words.
Today, I choose to remember all those people, plus the animals who were used in combat and the communities devasted physically but held together spiritually.
Duties of the day included grooming and checking the muddy horses, tidying the garden of leaves, and sorting the kids Den into a Piggy Palace! We have three guineapigs who needed to go indoors for winter, but due to son's allergies they couldn't come into the conservatory this year. They nw have now plush carpet and a radiator to run amok in! Daughter spent a lot of time putting down towels, hay and food then spent hours in the Palace playing with them. Love to see her with her pets :0)
I also went to my favourite farm shop in Tidmarsh to get in supplies for a sumptuous feast.. organic veg and meat.. plus our favourite cheeses. we love to sample things too so came out with happy bellies :0)
Sample of the day was to the very rich smooth mature cheese called the Lancashire Bomb (how apt for today!!) big thankyou to all at Fieldersfarmshop.co.uk fantastic staff with wicked smiles and produce!
