Homeward bound

I think I spent as much time today explaining the Bristol redundancies to people in our Cheltenham office as I did doing my job.

Naturally everyone wants the lowdown, but the whole thing was as clear as mud to me to start off with, so I'm not sure I was much use.

Almost caught the train before the train before the one I was planning to catch home, but the doors were shutting as I got onto the platform.

Then the next train was so late I ended up getting home at the time I would have done if I had caught the usual train. Hope you've managed to follow that.

The icing on the cake was having to stand up all the way, next to the loos, while the first classers gloated at my discomfort.
