Oscar-Winning Weather

Woke up to the pitter patter of raindrops on my bedroom window this morning, which here in Southern California isn't that common. What is common is my desire to curl up and go back to bed. And being Sunday, this means perusing my marginal movie collection, most of which were salvaged from the dollar discount bin at Wal-Mart.

I'm going to start with movies from the 80s set in Los Angeles, since that was a time when I was a wee child in England, and when Hollywood seemed like a mystical far off land that only existed on camera. Today, it's practically right on my doorstep.
