Gold Leaves

My trip continued to Rennes, France. After the meeting we had a guided tour in the Parlement de Bretagne. It is a building from 17th century which suffered very seriously in a fire in 1994. Many rooms with their decorations had to be rebuilt. However, there were many rooms with lavish decoration.

I liked this one because of the theme in the gilded pilasters is a growing plant. There were many rooms decorated with fleur-de-lis, which is always impressive, but I liked this one because it looks more like a real plant. And has acorns!
