Murie Cross

Manged to get out and about with #1 Son today, so went for a walk at Murie Law Knoll, to take a blip of a Cross that Tonto McDuff had suggested i visit.

For someone who isn't religious, it's strange that i like taking pictures of crosses. I think its to do with the history and the stories attached to them, or simply the design on some of them.

It's only about 5 minutes from our house in the car, but if you didn't know about it there's very little chance you would ever stumble across it, as its down a farm track, well off the beaten track and in the middle of some trees and is very overgrown as you can see.

That's now got me thinking about what else is around our area that is hidden and unvisited. Time to scour the maps and plan some more walks!

I'll be back there, as there are at least 3 ruined houses within 1/2 mile of each other that can be some filler blips which are slightly en-route to work.
