Street-sellers
Very young children such as these two girls take advantange of the long traffic light cycles by attempting to sell their wares to stationary traffic at the red lights. It was common in Saudi too. Foreigners such as myself are seen as easier targets. Especially when we're walking, they follow for a good while trying and trying to sell you a Cinderella coulouring book / novel / bunch of flowers / magazine etc etc. It becomes second nature to ignore them after a while, unless of course I want their photograph, in which case I'll ask them, or point at my camera to await their approval. It's a good tactic to divert their attentions from their sales pitch. They like seeing the result too. Then it's time to walk away. Quickly.
