Mind the Edge!

A really beautiful morning - bright and sunny so I put a load of towels etc in the washing machine and Ollie and I set off round the cliffs. By lunchtime we had sleety showers, and now the wind has picked up and I have a clothes horse covered in damp washing!

Ollie is usually so good about staying away from the cliff edge - probably because I have shouted at him so much about it. "Mind the Edge" was our mother's constant refrain to us kids all through our childhood, whenever we were anywhere near waterfalls, cliffs, castle walls etc. Now she shouts it at my father when he's anywhere near the garden pond, as he's none too steady on his feet!

I didn't realise he was at the edge when I took this photo, otherwise I would have been grabbing at him and panicking! There must have been a ledge under him because he just turned and came back to me!

How many lives do dogs have?
