Uncanny Resemblance

My mom found this picture of her father at the age of 10. Liam bears an almost unbelievable resemblance to my grandfather (Claude), his great-grandfather. He doesn't look like his brothers so he was always wondering who he looked like. Now he knows!

Today was a very sad day. We lost a dear person at our church today from brain cancer. She has bravely fought the fight against this dreaded tumor and has been a smiling example of faith and love along the way. In her pain and trial she still managed to comfort others, even someone else recently diagnosed with terminal cancer. At her prayer service she told people to please don't cry for her. I still did. She was still so young. I have a fond memory of her as our first babysitter. The poor thing, we left her with with a crying, mommy separation issued Liam. Loren was barely 4 and Liam I believe 6 months. Well, I think Liam cried for her the entire time we were at a wedding. She wanted to make sure she was doing everything right, so she called her mom (a nurse) over to the house just to make sure his crying was separation related or for health reasons. It ended up not being the latter. That was just one of my memories. Mainly her smile and warmth is what I will remember. Rest in peace with our Savior sweet Jodie.
