B is for Bailey
Bailey is one of our two cats.
They say never work with animals and kids and now I know why!
I thought today was going to be easy but I can honestly say this was my hardest photo to date in manual modes!
First of all, non technically, Bailey is really timid and doesn't like being fussed around so she was either running away from me, defiantly sticking her bottom up at me or she seemed to realize later that it really annoyed me if she did the complete opposite and came right up close to the lens meaning I couldn't focus!
Then technically I had all the problems of flash throwing ugly shadows, constant changing light as we did Tom & Jerry style chases from our bright kitchen to our dark hallway.
Trying to get a quick focus on her eyes without her jet black fur messing it up when she did stand still and then getting my exposure right with loads of cream and chrome round our kitchen in contrast to her being jet black.
In the end I got this shot which I'm not overly happy with but admit I did learn a lot today, which is the reason I'm putting myself through this. (I think)
Please note that no cats were hurt during this experience!
Tomorrow I think C will be something still life?
