J72 8680
Today's the day ...................... to get a present
There was a wooden box on my desk when I went into work this morning. The sort you would get cigars in - with a rubber band round it to keep the lid on. It was a present from James. He said he saw it and thought of me ........
And what joy - it was a Wilson Worsdell J72 0-6-0 tank engine in the green livery of the LNER. A total of 113 J72s were built in nine batches from 1898 and 1951 and this particular one - No 8680 - was built in the 1940s and operated in the north east of England out of Newcastle.
What more could a girl want ...............?
