Lights

Today was a busy day, and I've been feeling exhausted and a little overwhelmed all day. This holiday tree is perhaps one of the only decorations on campus. I'm not sure who puts it up each year, but every year about this time it shows up. Its in the middle of this wide expanse of grass between my building and the campus pond. I've always wondered where its plugged in, since there is no building even close.

But what it does mean is that the semester is about to finish, and soon I'll be able to eat, sleep and think normally again. I love my job more than I can express, but I also love winter break, so its arrival made me smile this evening.
