Aerial

This photo started out as an attempt at dubious photojournalism. Some one (student?) had drawn a huge smiley face in the snowy lawn across from my building, which was so big I couldn't capture it from ground level. So I went up to the 23rd floor of the library which overlooks that lawn to see if perhaps it was visible from above. No luck, the ONE tree that is between the library and the lawn is in the way. So I walked around the 23rd floor looking out windows to see if I could get an aerial shot of something else. This is a photo of the minimalist garden at the base of the library.

The cool thing about the shot? Someone walked all the way around the square, and you can still see their footprints in the new snow. :-)
