first snow

A large "Clipper" descended from central Canada, bringing cold air and snow. Just at dawn the first flakes started to fall. The ground was frozen and the first snow made the roads very slick. I saw many fender benders on the way to work and the traffic was quite snarled. Not much better on the way home. It was very interesting to watch a group of people trying to push upright a big Ford SUV sitting on it's side in someones front yard. Probably saw the aftermath of fifteen minor accidents if not more, as many vehicles had slid into ditches and medians. Fortunately none that I witnessed appeared serious.

I'm home safe and I hope you are too. Tomorrow I think I'll go in late.
