Feed the Birds...

Although the cost is now slightly more than the legendary "tuppence a bag", the birds in our neck of the woods seem to appreciate the hulled sunflower seeds we put out for them so much, we nowadays keep them supplied almost the whole year round. But in conditions like these (I reckon the snow here must now be at least a foot deep), it is of vital importance.

A variety of species are seen here clustering around the feeder (just to the right of the Hydro pole), with many more sitting on the mesh of the deer fence waiting for their turn.
