Snow day!

Yes, I know everyone else has had snow for days if not weeks but we never get any - and this morning lo and behold - it was all out there, proper snow!! This is the view from my front door. The cats were completely astonished as we did a quick morning walk. No school, the roads were too treacherous and the principal was stranded on the other side of the mountain. No one can remember the last time snow settled in this part of the world. We went for a walk to admire and take photos. This was one of the stunning views we saw.
The fires are now lit, soup made and we've hunkered in for the day.
