Trax

I made a brief excursion today, donning the Yaktrax for the first time. They were a bit tricky to get securely on to the shoes, but once on they worked a treat, particularly on the compacted snow/ice that I found towards the top of Leith Walk.

I was so busy concentrating on my feet that I didn't think to get the camera out at all while it was daylight, so all I have is a picture of the devices when I peeled them off my shoes again. I should have remembered that it's St Andrews Day and tried to arrange them in some way reminiscent of a saltire; but as it is they look more like some of Madonna's old undergarments.
