Slush

I was supposed to be working in Gateshead today, but got up and looked at the weather and travel reports and thought better of it. I was able to work at home (oh, joy!) but did nip out to our local branch of Tiso to get some Yaktrax before they sold out due to Lady Findhorn's blip.

I haven't tried them yet; but I don't know if they'll be much use in conditions as shown here. All the side streets are like this and though there was some thawing in the day the pavements will all ice up again overnight. They're predicting -5 C tonight.

I doubt if the council can afford to clear the roads and pavements; they've probably spent it all on the tram project. :-(
