Beautiful Male Pheasant

This young man has been very lucky. Why, because all the local farmers have recently had their shoots. I am sure word goes round the pheasant community as they all, male and female, head up to our farm because they know that we do not have a shoot.

We feed them all year, not to fatten them up, but so that they can live happily and when the ladies are sitting on their nests the males walk up and down making their whooping sound. It is such a wonderful noise to hear.

It is very cold today, we've not had any more snow since yesterday but some of the rest of the country are really in trouble. Brrrrrr.
