First of December

A quick blip before heading out. The advent candle has been lit - I better not be too long out or I'll come back and it'll be the middle of December. Perhaps I should snuff it out before donning boots and cap and trudging out to join the greying neighbourhood throng.
Years ago we started a gathering on the last Wednesday of the month to sup and chat. That was changed to a get together on the last Thursday of the month when the Sample Room started their music night. However, as the years pass and hearing becomes that bit harder, we find that we need a music free environment to once again have a chat. So that's err tonight, I think. It's Wednesday already. I think that was the front door bell.
