I told them, I told them, but would they listen? Prince William, Beckers and bloody Cameron? That's their idea of A-list celebs? No Ken Dodd - and everybody loves him! Cliff? A crazy omission. OK Norman Wisdom is no longer available but surely Dame Vera Lynn was a shoe-in? At least people abroad would have heard of her. "There'll be blue birds over, the white cliffs of Dover". That was one of hers.
I must say I didn't think Qatar would be in with a shout for 2022. They don't even play the bloody game, cos there isn't a blade of grass to be seen in the whole place, but Zidane did a good job for his $15 million fee. Probably threatened to stick the heid on them for that money too.
Had an enjoyable evening out, amazingly enough, after last night's excesses. No snowball fights tonight though!
