Karen at the Ornament Party

This is Karen Gergely, artist, teacher, and most importantly, ornament maker. Very happy she joined us tonight. This was her first ornament party with us but she created them like an old pro. It is a nine year tradition that we make ALL the ornaments for our tree. None of them are store bought. When we first startd living together we put all our pennies together and bought a tree but had no money left for anything to decorate it with. So we improvised. We had all our friends come over and made all sorts of crazy creations.
and so a tradition was formed.
It is one of my favorite days of the year.
