Snow day!

Phone rang at just after 7 this morning, and I thought "I know what that is!" - snow day! TPD had no such luck, the official line there a la Horatio Caine is "We never close". The first one we've had since Son Two has been walking and therefore able to play in it :-D

Lazy lie in, late breakfast of bacon butties, then out in the snow to play. I shall gloss over some of the unpleasantries (anyone know how to/if you can replace the memory card door on a D50?) because we got past that and had some more fun, especially with it being Son Two's first proper introduction to the white stuff! Out in the snow this morning, in to make bread for lunch - Son One hit on the top idea of Christmas shaped rolls! They looked fab before they went in, but as they cooked and rose they looked, well, a little different when they came out ;-)

More snow play this afternoon, including me dragging 2 small boys round the garden on the sledge (that's a lot harder than it sounds!).

On the plus side for TPD, both his 6th form parents' evening and after school club he was supposed to have this afternoon were postponed, so he was home in time for tea with us :-D
