My other half, my raison d'etre, finally allowed me to blip her, in the fog at Butlins in Skegness - who said romance was dead? I love you darling!
She is finally coming around to the idea of blipping so you may have to put up with two of us soon.
On the festival front, The Unthanks were due to play tonight but they have cried off because of the weather. They come from the North East so fair play. We were lucky to see them in Brussels earlier this year when we were stuck there due to the Icelandic volcano eruption, and they were great.
This afternoon we saw Richard Digance who was abosolutely brilliant. I haven't seen him since the mid-seventies, but he is as sharp as ever and had the audience in the palm of his hand from the first song. He had us crying with laughter and moved us to tears with the poignancy of some of his songs. The man is a genius. See him if you get a chance.
We are out again in a short while, for Sandi Thom, Rod Clements and Jiggerypipery, amongst others. Should be fun!
Catch up soon.
