Tracks
Funny thing, the weather. Came back to Gloucestershire from Bristol last night and if we had started our journey just half an hour later, we would have been in big trouble because of the snow.
As it was, we had a pretty tense final few miles, but made it. However, our friends were not so lucky - their people carrier was rammed by an out-of-control car on a hill just after they had parked and got out of it. Scary.
Meanwhile, places not many miles away didn't suffer too badly.
Today, the roads where I live are inches deep and, to make matters worse, it has rained and the whole concoction will freeze overnight.
There are not one, but two, severe weather warnings for dangerously icy roads tonight and tomorrow where we live.
It doesn't make getting to work tomorrow a particularly appealing prospect.
The photo is of tracks on the canal alongside our house. We weren't sure what creature they belonged to, but whatever it was had some nerve because the ice wasn't that thick.
In fact, I did notice some tracks coming to an abrupt halt in the middle alongside a distinctly watery patch. Oh dear!
