Feeling 'Christmassy'

We had a holiday booked for today in order to take Orla to see 'The Gruffalo' at the Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh. But we were stuck at home because of the extreme cold weather. We took the opportunity to put up the Christmas tree in the morning and ventured out to Craigmarloch Lodge for lunch (both had a cosy steak and ale pie).

In the afternoon we watched 'The Polar Express'. With the xmas tree lights on and the snow outside it brought on a very strong christmassy feeling.

Orla liked playing the Peppa Pig card game as you can see. There was a first at bedtime - Orla fell asleep whilst I was still reading to her (The Cat in the Hat).
