Wood Pigeon
Wood Pigeon are one of the most common birds in the UK with an estimated population of 20 million. Between 2008 and 2009 their population doubled. The characteristic white band round the neck appears when the bird is approximately 6 months old.
I was out for a short walk with the gun this morning before attempting to get to work and this bird will provide dinner for my wife and I in two or three days time. Like most birds I believe they benefit from hanging for a couple of days.
