NOT GOING ANYWHERE

Only a quick blip on a long walk in to work, after thinking it would be sensible to park on a flat piece of ice rather than the steep hill which is my normal spot. The canal is thick with ice in town and in sections right out to our village five miles away and beyond. So after the drought and no canal movement in summer, we now have the freeze and no movement in winter. Is this global warming? Otherwise, how much canal traffic actually got about in its heyday?
