Ed's Blip

Sub Zero

I managed to get onto Citrix this morning so I was able to work from home. I didn't fancy trying to get into work after last night's travel chaos. We walked down to Barbegs to get Orla mid afternoon then I carried her back up in the bushbaby. She fell asleep during the journey.

There was more travel chaos today, with the M8 westbound still closed 30 hours after it was first blocked by a jack-knifed lorry. The weekend saw a bit of a thaw, only to be greeted by heavy snow at rush hour on Monday morning. Clearly everyone was trying to get into work after limited hours last week. This unfortunate series of events resulted in the mess that is now causing serious questions to be asked about the competency of those responsible for dealing with such situations.

The maximum temperature today in Glasgow was about minus five. It's likely to hit minus fifteen or lower tonight.
