The littlest fairy

13 months 18 days

We had a very festive day today! We went to the toddler Christmas party at the village Church today; Katie- and Monkey's- first Christmas party (she was only 10 weeks old last time round. Katie went as a Christmas fairy, in a lovely outfit Granny and Grandad bought her for just such an occasion! (This was her second outing as a fairy - the first being back in July when she was a Toddling Fairy for the Race For Life. She raced).

She was a touch overwhelmed as the local preschool came along with hoardes of 3 year olds, so she came and sat on my knee for most of the songs, but she coloured in an angel for the top of the tree, ate cake, and danced once a lot of the bigger kids had gone and it was just us and our friends

We went to town to do some jobs and had lunch with a friend. She ate really well and was performing for all the cafe patrons. I got her feet checked - she's had these shoes over 3 months and still hasnt gone up a size - but no complaints from me!

After tea (home cooked stew - she troughed it!) we went into the village. It was the light switch on tonight. We met our friends and all went for hot chocolate first. We saw the lights and then Santa arrived on big sleigh with a (pretend) reindeer, all lit up, and Katie was fascinated - her jaw fell to the floor practically! We wandered round, looked at the stalls and said hello to santa (the grotto looked a bit pants so we skipped going in for a present!) then all headed to the church for coffee, craft stalls and carols. She was again in really good form, smiling away, looking adorable in her jammies!
