Advent Calendar Day 9 - Santa Claus is coming

Every year we buy new Christmas decorations from all the places we go to. I thought it would be good to introduce them to the house one by one and tonight it was a Santa ornament bought at the top of Cairngorm on a lovely August day. Today he had to brave the snow before he got pride of place in the dining room.

.Santa Claus can be known by many names but he usually is the one who brings the presents on Christmas Eve.

Joseph Ratzinger wrote in 1986 (now Pope Benedict XVI) that 'It is the beautiful task of Advent to awaken in all of us memories of goodness and thus to open doors of hope.' Hope you find doors of hope this advent!
