...with every Christmas card I write....

except he's not writing them. He's going through his record of cards which he has sent over the last 10 years and crossing out those who have died , or not sent a card back or changed address with out sending the new one on to him.

Blip world meet Ted, the Father in Law.

Tomorrow the Boss is going to help him write his cards and on Saturday when she takes him back home she'll post them for him. He's having a few days with us because his wife is in Qatar with her granddaughter. It's complicated, but after Helen's mum died he remarried a few years later at the age of 80, to a friend of theirs they met during WWII.

It's no secret we've never seen eye to eye, I don't think he's ever thought I was good enough for his daughter, but we've learned to tolerate each other over the years.

I'm off to see my dad on Saturday as well, so both of us are heading North (about 100 miles) in seperate cars and we'll meet here at home again sometime on Monday evening.

It's raining here now and for the first time in over two weeks the temperature has climbed above 0, so the snow is all melting and leaving a sheet of ice with a layer of water on top. Hope it's all gone by the weekend or driving could be fun!

Das vidanya.
