Pudding Wine

Tonight we are drinking this: Cape Promise Private Reserve Chenin Blanc Muscat Late Harvest 2004!

So why, on an apparently ordinary Friday evening, have we decided to open something distinctly not ordinary? Why have we also had a delicious Chinese takeaway for supper?

Because, today, is the 9th anniversary of the day we got engaged! 9 years ago the Wonderspouse got down on one knee and proposed to me while the toast burned away in the kitchen!

We celebrated our engagement with a bottle of Chateau Yquem 1990, and so, for us, getting engaged will forever be associated with pudding wine!

Back in those days there were only three of us - two humans and Felix, and now there are seven - even more furry noses trying to stick their noses into the wine glasses!

Happy Anniversary Wonderspouse! I'm still amazed how you've put up with me for all these years!
