Liquid Water

Usually this wouldn't be a particularly exciting sight! It's just the cats' outdoor drinking bowl after all, with its rather grubby murky rainwater.

However, since it's been frozen for so long it was wonderful to see it fully thawed out this morning - a most welcome sign of some slightly warmer weather. I've been able to wear just one pair of trousers, a top and a fleece and still be warm enough. We slept well last night owing to being warmer (didn't wake up until nearly 10.00), and it's been WONDERFUL to be able to open the windows and get the house aired!

I believe that winter is scheduled to return next week, but it's lovely to have just a few days of warmer weather. Not only had the cat bowl thawed today, but all the ice on the drive has gone too! Hurrah!

It's been a very quiet day at home, just doing a few domestic jobs and watching videos! Lovely!
