Paper whites

Our paper whites opened yesterday. They are such an uncomplicated bulb - you plant them, water them and 6 weeks or less later they flower. There is no need to keep them in the dark. The flowers are tiny but the perfume is powerful and delicious.

As I processed the image I noticed how the glistening white petals on the main flower showed a variety of colours within the white.
