St Oswald's Church, Heavenfield

Managed to brave the cold today - much less jet lagged (woke at 5 am instead of 3) and went to my photo class. On the way home I stopped the car by the roadside and snatched this image of St Oswald's Church at Heavenfield. This is the end of the St Oswald's Way walking route. The church is set on the top of a ridge, with wonderful views from it to the north. I'm looking from the south. I like the way the long shadows from the trees take your eye to the church. The church is huddled amongst the stand of trees, not immediately apparent until you look more closely.
