Christmas

Today was Christmas. We spent the morning getting the house sorted, having shopping delivered etc. In the afternoon, the waifs and strays staying here cooked thier dishes for the pot luck dinner whilst I found a car driving friend to save Christmas. J very kindly drove me to Homebase to get a Christmas Tree.

6:30pm guests arrived and the fun began. I had loads of great shots but I had to go for this one. Every year we do a secret santa worth a silly amount. This year it was £3.84. It's even more secret than normal secret santa as you don't know who you're buying for. They all get put in a sack and people take one "lucky dip" style. It was a little odd having it in the new flat after so many years in the old but also nice to have a smaller group of just 16.
