Today's the day ........................ for an art lesson

This is a picture of my good friend Sue painted by Will which is hanging on the wall in the room where we spend most of our time - so it is very familiar to me. It has a sort of pattern on it which I never notice now but I asked Will why it was there and this is what he said.

He painted it from a photograph that he had taken of Sue. He drew a grid pattern over the photograph and then drew a grid on the much larger piece of paper he was going to paint on. Then he just transferred what was on the small squares on to the big ones. Simple.

Think he missed out the having talent bit ......................
