Llama Lake HDR
I love the ability of HDR to expand the tonal range beyond the camera's ability, but I hate how HDR is being abused. Yes, there are extreme HDR images that I admire that are offered as an artistic interpretation, but a lot of the work out there is just overdone.
Look, landscapes are supposed to have a wide gamut of tonal values ranging from dark to light. Just like in real life. So just because you CAN eliminate all shadows and darken down highlights, doesn't mean you SHOULD...
Anyway, I'm revisiting HDR myself and this is the first one I have done in awhile. It's a collection of five hand-held exposures, 1 stop difference each, compiled in Photoshop.
