Sunglasses required!

Here is LC, one of our regular walkers on today's walk from Haltwhistle. The fluorescent colours in her hat were bright enough to hurt the eyes of onlookers - somehow the camera has not quite caught the brightness, but you can see that the highlights did blow out on the scarf!! I threatened to blip this - not sure she believed I would.

It was not too cold today. We had a delightful circular walk including parts of the South Tyne valley. At lunchtime we watched enormous salmon leaping in the water under a bridge. Then it was back to town in time for a swift half in the Black Bull. A lovely day, and great to be walking again after a few weeks off.
