Some of the ingredients...

...for a smoked haddock risotto, a re-interpretation of something delicious I once ate in Fishers about ten years ago. DH braved the Farmers Market this morning and brought back these two fine Eyemouth haddock. Well, I don't suppose that the haddock actually lived in Eyemouth, but they probably got smoked there. As it were. Apart from the rice, some white wine and a bit of saffron that's about it. Oh, and butter, of course.

Since taking the photo I cooked the risotto and we have eaten it - it turned out well and the haddock was smokier than a very smoky thing. Mmm. Time to head for the sofa and a DVD. (Another episode of Twin Peaks, maybe!)
