Journey's End

Completed my journey home from Brisbane today, leaving the train at Inverurie.

After the passengers have gone, Inverurie Station has a timeless quality ... and I wouldn't have been too surprised to see a Great North of Scotland Railway steam engine chug its way into this scene ...

... but a more modern piece of engineering, built by Land-Rover in Solihull, duly chugged into the car park and then carried me home across the snowy roads.

When I left Brisbane, temperatures were maxing out around 32 C. After travelling something like 16,800km back to Aberdeenshire, I wonder how long it will be before the temperature reaches 32 F ?
