wintery river

The river at the bottom of my garden is back where it should be - contained within it's banks - but it has now got frozen edges! I wonder if it will flood spectacularly again when all this snow thaws out?

It has been a very quiet couple of days with school cancelled yesterday and not being able to drive very far today. So some more Christmas presents have been knitted and shortbread baked. A good time of year to be snug indoors.
