Hide 'n Seek

Nona!

Nooooo-naaaaa!

NONA!

Where is she?!

I no no.

Nona?

Noooo-naaaa, wheeerrrrreeee aaaaarrrrrreeee yoooouuuuuu?!!!!!!

Two minutes later, the sound of laughter filled our house. Laughter that was so real and so deep that it turned into crying laughter. My Mom was laughing so hard when I walked into the room that she almost couldn't tell the story. Apparently she and the kids were playing hide 'n seek and she ducked down behind a couple of laundry baskets knowing that she would be found right away. She said that the kids walked into the room and looked everywhere. Her feet were sticking out from behind the laundry baskets and they were standing not but a foot away from her. Completely oblivious to where she was. And it was her laughter that finally gave her away.

Oooooh, there you are Nona!!!!

Of course her story made me laugh as hard as she was so I told her to recreate her hiding spot so that I could grab my camera and make her my blip for today. I am realizing that the story telling part of blip is giving me just as much enjoyment and satisfaction as the photo part. Everyday I have the opportunity to record a photo from my life as well as a little story or conversation that has impacted my day. I can't even imagine how fun it is going to be to reread these journals years and years from now. And this story / photo is one that will be relived, reread, and retold many many times.

400 blips. I am at 400 blips now. Hmmm, maybe I can't consider myself as being "phasey" anymore. Well.....oh who am I kidding, yes I sometimes am. But not with photography. And that is how I know for certain that this hobby has slipped into a life long passion. And it is an incredible feeling to be passionate about something that sparks my creative and abstract side.
