I know you'll think I'm ice-mad - but just look at this. Isn't it exquisite?!

It started off as a discarded oak leaf - but over time, with the temperatures never above freezing point and usually far below, these ice crystals have formed.

While the country grinds to a halt with all the problems caused by the cold weather, the natural world just gets on with its miraculous wonders .........
