Highland cow

Today's the day ....................... to blip a cow

The coo, the coo, the bonny coo
Is better than a dug
Until it flicks its muckle tail
And skelps ya oer the lug!

So it said in my Oor Wullie annual one Christmas many, many moons ago. Saw this one today quietly chewing near the road on our way to Edinburgh to spend a few festive days with my Mum and Dad.

It was actually quite a celebrity because a coach load of tourists had also seen it and had stopped presumably so that everyone could get a picture of a real highland cow. It was totally oblivious to all the fuss because its fringe was so thick that I'm sure it couldn't see a thing!
