A Birmingham Adventure - Part One
We had another HUGE snowfall on tuesday night (well huge for round here). And I was very concerned that I wouldn't make my Christmas outing to the German market with my favouritest people. Even on tuesday, before the extra snow, it was looking like I might not get there and I was feeling quite fed up.
However, my brilliant Dad braved the snow to drive me to the station, bless him. I expected to have to wait a long while for a train, as I knew there were delays, but low and behold I bought my ticket and walked straight onto a train - hurrah!!
So many glasses of prosecco, champagne and a cocktail that must have been pure alcohol later, plus an AMAZING meal at Jamie Oliver's Italian (seriously, go there, it is just gorgeous), I took this slightly blurry shot (nothing to do with the alcohol, honest) (well maybe a little) From the bullring over Selrdidges and St Martins Church - I adore the contrast of old and new that you get in this place, and at night it becomes even more special.
Interestingly we didn't actually make the German market this day, we got rather carried away eating, drinking and making merry and it was shut by the time we got there - ooops. But it didn't detract at all from a much needed awesome time with amazing people :)
