Blanket Making 101
Today started with a nice long run for me. Although it was chilly--the sun was out and there was no wind. All in all a beautiful morning for a run. I did just under 8 miles and got back to shower and take the girls over to the shopping center for some Christmas Eve finery :) Josie will be doing a reading at the Christmas Eve service at church so she wanted a new top to wear with her black pants and a pair of black flats. Emily was in need of some new black flats to complete her outfit too. Mission accomplished fairly easily.
We returned home for a quick lunch and then over to pick up the Anselmos for a trip to Joannes to pick out fabric for the no-sew fleece blankets they were going to make. After the selection of fleece--no easy task with the huge assortment of cute designs--I dropped them all off at the Anselmos. Carmen provided the know-how and they came home tonight with beautiful blankets. This blip is of Josie and Gracie with their blankets. Emily made one also, but is giving it as a gift.
While the girls were gone for their blanket-making project, the boys played happily outside with the neighbor kids all afternoon. The weather was perfect! With them out from underfoot, I managed to finish wrapping a few things and completely clean out the refrigerator! Yay me!! It looks so nice; makes me wonder why I don't do it more often.
