Christmas Eve

It's that long awaited night--Christmas Eve! After a small fiasco with the Christmas tree we were cutting it a bit close in getting to the church for the 4:00 service. Josie was doing a reading for the service and was a bit nervous but also excited. We made it to church only a couple of minutes late. After returning I was able to get a few pics of the kids in front of the tree before we went on our annual Christmas Eve walk around the neighborhood--mainly to get some energy out so the kids will sleep but also to check out the beautiful Christmas lights some of the neighborhood had put up. Thankfully, the rain held off. After getting back we had a small smorgasboard of odds-n-ends for a light dinner and then read our customary Christmas books before sending children off to dreamland.
